14 forum topics, 200 invited presentations, more than 200 abstract submissions, more than 200 oral and posted reports ...... In three days of full exchange, young scientists in the field of quantum optics, optical communication biology, photonics optoelectronic materials, cutting-edge cross-disciplines, as well as large scientific devices and other optical frontiers set off a Brainstorming.

This is a platform to communicate with each other, learn from each other, and show results, and we hope that the majority of young scholars can gain and grow on this platform. At the opening ceremony, researcher Chen Weibiao, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai Institute of Optics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, fully affirmed the important role played by the Optics Young Scientists Forum in the wave after wave.

Dr. Junqiu Liu from ETH Lausanne, Switzerland, led the R&D and fabrication of silicon nitride process in the Center for Micro and Nanotechnology of ETH Lausanne, and realized the first chip-integrated frequency combs with microwave k-band and x-band repetition frequency in the world, which successfully solved the difficult problems that have plagued the field in the past 10 years. He was invited to give a presentation on Frequency Combs and Applications of Silicon Nitride Integrated Optical Chips, in which he introduced the important progress in the preparation, integration and applications of frequency combs on silicon nitride chips in recent years. After the presentation, a number of participants had in-depth communication with him. He highly praised this forum, This forum has built a good platform for young scholars, we are not just listening to the report here, but really communicating fully, everyone has a lot of questions, a lot of ideas, I think it's great.

The new crown epidemic did not stop the pace of scientific innovation, the special period of academic exchange opportunities also appear more precious. Young scientists, as the most energetic scientific research group in the scientific community, are the backbone of leading the future development of science and technology, said Prof. Cai Yangjian of Shandong Normal University, Chairman of the Forum and Deputy Director of the Youth Editorial Board of China Laser Magazine, at the opening ceremony.

Recently, Academician Pan Jianwei and the team of Prof. Lu Chaoyang of the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), who is the chairman of this forum and the director of the Youth Editorial Board of China Laser Magazine, have successfully constructed a 76-photon prototype of quantum computing called Nine Chapters. This breakthrough has made China the second country in the world to realize quantum superiority, which fully demonstrates the great potential and important contribution of young power in the field of optics in China.

At this year's forum, young scientists reported the latest progress and achievements in their respective research fields. As congress reports, Prof. Zhan Qiwen of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, Prof. Chen Shuqi of Nankai University, and Prof. Song Qinghai of Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen) reported the latest research progress in the fields of novel spatio-temporal regulation method of optical field, artificial microstructure technology at very small scale, and micro-nano-lasers and photonic devices at the core of integrated electronic chips, respectively.

It is the original intention of the Young Scientists Forum that the voices of young scientists can influence the academic world, so that young scientists can speak freely regardless of seniority and position.
