Complex Optical Field Engineering and Meta-Optics represent two major hot research areas in modern optics and optical engineering, and optical field manipulation has been designated as a strategic research direction by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. It has been shown that these two hot topics have strong inherent connections. The organic integration of these two fields will lead us to make original and internationally leading contributions in modern optics and optical engineering. Our laboratory is dedicated to establishing world-class experimental equipment and research teams in optical field manipulation and its interactions with matter. We aim to nurture young innovative talents, promote international academic cooperation and exchange, and develop and translate major new applications with independent intellectual property rights. COSMOS currently consists of 9 full-time professors and 2 postdoctoral researchers. We maintain extensive and in-depth collaborations with internationally renowned professors and research groups. Over the past few years, our team has published numerous papers in top international journals, including Nature Photonics, Physical Review Letters (PRL), Advanced Optical Materials, Science Bulletin, and more. We have a solid research foundation and excellent experimental facilities
